Disney has just announced a new ambitious project they call Disney Infinity. Disney Infinity is not merely a game but a platform for of the Disney characters universes to come out and have you the player mix and match different things from each franchise and create your own gameplay scenarios. This is called “The Toy Box” which appears to have a lot of user-generated content. Modes the game will include are: basic logic editor, camera editor, custom games & online to help you create and share the scenarios.

At the launch of the cross-platform game will include universe from Monsters University, Pirates of the Caribbean and The Incredibles. No mention of any of the Star Wars and Marvel franchises getting into the mix. In the reveal trailer it looks to copy Skylanders by having a portal for Disney figurines to stand on and become active in the game. Disney Infinity has been announced to launch June 2013 for Xbox360 PlayStation 3, Nintendo Wii, Wii U, 3DS, PC and mobile devices. Sorry PS Vita nothing for you.
