I Got To Play The Wii U!
What’s up gamers! My local Walmart finally got their Wii U demo units in so I finally got the chance to play the Wii U, specifically Rayman Legends! I was actually really surprised over how light the Wii U Gamepad is. It looks like it’s going to weight a lot being the size of an iPad Mini or a standard 7′-8′ tablet. The grip of the Gamepad feels really good. The analogue sticks both being on the top doesn’t feel odd at all for me, overall I liked the feel of the Gamepad, it feels right.
Rayman Legends was really fun as well. Visually it looked amazing, the new lighting system in the game is certainly an upgrade from Rayman Origins. Controlling Rayman with the Wii U Gamepad felt great and the music level that I got to play was awesome. The music followed the beat of how Rayman ran and I got lost into the beat of the music. Aside from the Rayman Legends demo, there was a preview application that showed trailers/gameplay for upcoming Wii U games like New Super Mario Bros. U and ZombiU. The time it took between me clicking a video on the Wii U Gamepad and the video playing on the TV was instantaneous with no lag at all.
Overall I was happy with my first experience with the Wii U. Only about a week away until I’ll have my very own at home making articles and videos about it for you guys & gals. Have you guys tried out the Wii U yet?
